SOLGW NOX vs Dead Air flash hider. The da FH would be my choice. I feel like it does a good job helping with muzzle rise on my brothers 13.9. The nox is good but doesn't do well as a comp or FH. I never felt like it drove the gun down. But muzzle flash is important to me and low light shooting was tough. I really like the forward controls ...

I like the system, already had a Sandman K with most of my hosts setup for that so it made sense to me. Options like the Plan A and Xeno look nice. The included YHM works just fine and your already paid for it with the purchase of your can. But if you want to invest in another mount ecosystem go for it.

I just got a shipment of 6 new style DA428 Omega Keymo mounts. None of them lock up with either the standard brake or the micro. Tested all of them. Considering migrating from Keymo to _____, to save weight and length. Vox S and SDN-6 (Ecco HUB conversion) are the suppressors in use. Looks like the Xeno is a more secure mount due to the size of the taper, but slightly heavier than the Rearden? The difference is 2.1 oz between the two configurations. ETA: Xeno is a thread-to-taper system that is designed around being really light with added precision, while still providing excellent retention with how the tapers lock up.Both are excellent mounting systems and both have demonstrated very consistent lockup in terms of repeatable POI shift. Are you talking about the mount that screws into the back of the suppressors, or the muzzle devices on the barrels? If you're referring to the KeyMo mount itself, from the point it touches the back of the can, to the rearmost measurement, it adds roughly 1-1/8" to 1-3/16" to the length of the suppressor. T.

Thanks. If you are going to pick between those two I would go Xeno as it will be way shorter and lighter than Keymo. Had Keymo on my Wolfman and dumped it for an Ecco Machine cherry bomb adapter. Rearden makes an Atlas adapter that fits the Wolfman but I prefer the spanner slots of the Ecco machine adapter.

Xeno will be shorter/lighter but not a true QD. Keymo is longer/heavier but faster, true QD. Personally, I wouldn't have any use for Keymo. Xeno makes sense on precision rifles. I prefer Plan A/Plan B for most use cases, though. Saving length/weight is top of my QFD. 3.

While I wait I'm trying to figure out what direction to go for a QD mount. Specifically the Key-Mo vs the Xeno systems. I prefer flash-hiders on 5.56 guns and I currently run A2's as they look good, they're simple, cheap, and they work.Based off specs online, it looks like if at least .1" of the muzzle device sticks out past the Keymo, then you will have space. The Keymo brake is 2.6" and the blast chamber depth is 1.4". Keymo adds around 1.1", so as long as the muzzle device flats stick out more than 0.1" behind the back of keymo, I think it will fit. With so much attention on inflation, SmartAsset set out to determine where in the U.S. the price of goods and services has spiked the most. I’m a Xeno user, my brother has Keymo. No baffle strikes for either one of us but maybe we aren’t trying hard enough. I like the weight savings and deadnuts simplicity of the spin-it-on-hand-tight of Xeno vs Keymo. Rearden has more thread pitch and brake/hider options and seems to be a fan favorite. I just prefer the left hand threads of Xeno. For those looking for accuracy, the Dead Air Xeno system can be used. The Keymo mounts can also be quickly and easily installed for those wanting speed and elegance. Aside from these quick disconnect solutions provided by Dead Air, they also make a variety of direct thread mounts. As this is an industry-standard thread pitch, the Primal can ... this. "Keymo is the worst system, except compared to everything else". If you only have like 1 gun you want to put a can on, sure direct thread is fine. If you have a shit ton of guns you move your can between you basically need a QD system and keymo is the best I've found so far. All the rest have other issues that are worse than weight. Ditching Keymo, rearden vs asr. Decided to ditch my Keymo mostly because of weight and having it worked loose a few times (yes I’ve tightened it down). Keymo can also be a pain to remove.
