I keep getting the message u-verse is not working try again later. I'm having the same issue. Both of our tv's. Called AT&T at 6PM and was on hold for 1/2 hour. CSR answered and said someone from tech support would call me in 1/2 hour. She called me 1/2 hour later, "transferred" me to tech support and was on hold for 35 minutes.
Tried unplugging everything including the gateway (gateway + two receivers + dvr + wap), waiting 10 minutes, plugging back in in the order gateway, dvr, wap, receivers. None of this did diddly. I attempted to install it 3 times before calling tech support. The new box "supposidly" was not enabled so the tech activated it and told me to wait 24 hours and install it again.
