Turkey Leg Hut opened in 2015 as a pop-up during Houston rodeo season. The restaurant later partnered with the Caddy Shack bar on Washington to provide food service in 2016-2017. After that partnership went left, Turkey Leg Hut relocated ot Third Ward. It took over the Scrappy Brown restaurant in 2017, opening a few months later.
