Unless you have a compelling need to use MPLABX v5.40 I would recommend you uninstall it, be sure you delete the cached folders too. Then install MPLABX v5.25 and use it until Microchip address the ICD stability issues. If you get a Snap or PICKit4 be certain you are getting the most current build of the hardware.

I have a 5V PIC18F2550 working fine in a circuit however another team that interfaces to my circuit has converted to 3.3V volt logic. I started to convert my interfaces with FET level shifters but as look at this, it would be more convenient to operate with a 3.3V PIC to beging with.I am trying to understand the "GO_DONE ", bit in the "ADCON0 " regester. I am using the PIC16f887. First when I set the "GO_DONE " bit to start ADC conversion, it does not change the value of the "ADCON0 " regester, (according to my debug watch window).

The result is: The header file can't read the include path directories!!
