At least three times now when my wife has gone to lock the door, instead of the notification beep, it emits a long, continuous beep that will not stop. The only way I have gotten it to stop is to re-enter the vehicle and get back out and lock it again. Replace with the new tapered latch that came with the lock and reinstall the lock. The deadbolt latch and strike are misaligned, causing the latch to bind.
