Most other guns are at still useful but you are handicapping yourself by using a few, mostly the SMGs and the .50 cal rifles. Very low recoil, high rate of fire, and the killing power of .308, the FAL is a monster at any distance.

Personally I like using 7.62 caliber weapons for basic riflemen, AKM and FAL are my two most commonly used.
