Release retaining tabs and lift the battery box out of the tractor body. Set the box on the fender. Release the drive belt from the transaxle pulley. Pull out the ground drive belt.

I have a craftsman gt 3000 model #217.273241. After replacing the drive belt on the tractor and reconnecting the wiring to the electric clutch, I must not have placed it back where it was originally.
