Subaru outback driver window reset.
The auto up/down does not work. When I push and hold the button down, the window goes about half way, and then stops. I have to let go of the button and press it again to get it to go the rest of the way. Getting the window to come up is even worse! I have to pull the button up and the window goes up about an inch and stops.
Roll the window down from the passenger side with its button and hold it down once all the way down for 3 seconds or so. Next roll it back up and again hold it up for 3 seconds or so. This resets/programs the window then the driver side button should work.The passenger switch acts as a relay for power to the window motor from the driver switch. So if the passenger switch has a problem the driver side switch isn't going to work either. Then push it all the way down and hold until it stops. If it's not defective that should reset it and it will work with the driver side control as well. Wow - my battery died and I had the same issue on my 2015 OB - the drivers side switch for the passenger window wasn't working.The solution to use the the passenger side switch to roll the window down halfway, then hold roll up for 5 seconds solution worked for me. I think I heard a click too.

I believe it's in the owner's manual, but I have a bookmark with the procedure. I'm guessing you can do it on your passenger side, too.
