We are extremely security and compliance focused and managing the additional risk of 3rd party integrations for Smartsheet add ons doesn't really fly for us. I hope we'll see this soon, thanks!

To add to Valdeir's excellent advice/answer, As a possible workaround, you could use a combination of Conditional formatting, formulas showing descriptive text, and multiple helper columns for each drop-down option.The ID of a Smartsheet is easy to obtain from the gui, just look at the properties of the sheet. Not so easy to find the IDs for columns and filters, so I wrote a second script that given a sheet ID will list the IDs of all the sheet's columns and filters. Options. You will have to make the column as wide as your widest word then click on the column header and then clikc the wrap text button. The way it works now is it needs a break in the string of text to know where to wrap it, otherwise it will hide it behind the right wall of the cell. Assuming I'm understanding you correctly.
Assuming you're talking about a widget on a Smartsheet dashboard, you can create a report widget that reflects something close to what you're showing, but the widget won't be interactive. The best you can do there is to let it take you to source report and edit there.
