Liszt's 10th Transcendental Étude is possibly the most played of the études and has a prominent melody. Passage work for the left hand is rather difficult, while the right hand plays the melody mostly in octaves. There are several portions where the left and right hands alternate to play descending chords.

Apparently Transcendental Etude no. 12 is very difficult in regards to technique and stamina. I also think the Mephisto Valse would be quite strenuous (long) ... but then again, Liszt is a very demanding composer. What one pianist finds difficult may not necessarily be so for another pianist.
