It is the crowning process that can create the trouble. The bond between the chrome and the barrel steel can be broken. The chrome is only a coating layer on top of the barrel steel, it is not imbedded into it. Remember that the barrel is made, cut, and crowned, then it chrome lined.

A PS90 is pretty fantastic for HD. Low recoil, substantial capacity, compact footprint, and reduced over penetration concerns. My SBR serves as my HD gun.
