I’ve got an 08 Outback limited with 160k miles on the body and 60k on a jdm engine. Been getting a p0028 (bank 2) code. Before the code ever popped up I had replaced the oil pressure sensors in both sides because they were both leaking, about a month later the code came up, so I replaced the driver side solenoid.P0420 is benign or simply and artifact of the poor running engine. definitely ignore that for now, you can drive a car for 100,000 miles with that code, no big deal. oil loss and P0026/P0028 could be serious issues - you may have oiling issues which can essentially render an engine useless very quickly. i would look into this quick.

I had CEL code P0028. This is the same fault as P0026 except P0026 is a fault with the passenger side Variable Valve Timing system and P0028 is for the driver side Variable Valve Timing system. For me, replacing the oil pressure switch ($13 at local auto part chain) fixed the problem.
