Jan 1, 2014 · I've got a 2004 (10/2003) Cummins ISX 435ST in my International 9200-i and my oil pressure gauge has been completely upside down flashing Low Oil Pressure for a month. Now all of a sudden it reads low or 0 pressure and has steady Low Oil Pressure and Stop Engine lights. The tappets in the fuel are prone to failure and when they fail they send metal through the system. That's not necessarily your problem, but if you don't know if the tappets have been updated I would recommend removing the fuel pump head and inspecting the internal components. It's been about 10thousand miles since my last oil change in my 2009 ISX and I just started getting some low oil readings to. I just changed my exhaust back pressure sensor a week or so ago and that's been helping greatly. When I accelerate or am at cruzing speeds of 1200-1300 rpm's my oil pressure is fine, reading about 35-40 psi.This is a 6.7 in a 2019 Solaris bus, has 175k KM or a little over 100k miles on it. We have three buses, one engine is already gone with nearly 1300 hours of low oil pressure in severity 1. That's between 83-55 kPa. Second bus has 420 kPa at idle cold startup and drops down to 70 kPa hot. ECU has logged over two hours with pressure under 34 kPa!!
