Apr 22, 2024 · nothing will happen. itll stay a black screen in rcm. to hack a patched unit (thats above firmware 4.1) you need a mod chip, no way around it. you can find the chips on aliexpress. i bought a unit from my friend who thought it was unpatched, come to find out it wasnt. now i have a backup (when i eventually get a chip for it)

as far as anyone knows, xkw1 units are all patched and can't be hacked. most of what made the switch hackable was based on a crazy flaw in the previously used tegra chip. without that chip, all doors are currently closed. you could put it in your attic for a few years and see what happens, but it's not gonna be a great chance.
