Yeah, you don’t need Captured Memories complete. The only side quests you need to do are the ones listed in the book in Impa’s House. Maybe try to talk to Impa and Purah, investigate the orb, and read the book (double checking that you did complete the quests listed, verifying with your quest log). 4.Someone once suggested sleeping until noon and then morning resets it, but I don't know if that is true.
