All of the troops under his commander will have a perfect performance for Open-field as well.Nevsky is definitely the best and most versatile commander in the game. You could maybe argue that Scipio is better specifically for field, but even that is debatable imo. Max the first skill, and you will have him at a decent level. However, he is strongest (investment wise) when you get him to 5551.Personally my top 5 are: Sun Tzu, Joan of Arc, Boudicca, Herman, Scipio. Sun tzu and joan. The rest dont really matter. Joan and Pela next for sure, then Beli, Osman, and Eulji are useful at times beyond that. I'd say Pela for cav, Joan overall since you already have Sun and Scipio. Depend on your civ type.
