The RAV4 will objectively keep its value better than any competitor like the Tucson or Santa Fe or Escape. EDIT: after a lot of comments, here are my thoughts: You are paying for the exceptional engineering and reliability of Toyota more than a "luxury" and at this price it feels like its not a bad deal, but not a great one for the XSE with PP. After reading every review out there, it sounded like the Rav4 had significantly higher cabin noise and potentially harsh on bad roads. That being said, the Venza drives very well. The CX-5 AWD system seems to work better. Interior Feel- Again, not much to say, the CX-5 is much nicer inside in most respects, it just feels so much nicer, the Rav4 felt flimsy inside. The CX-5 is smaller inside, but I don't think the reduction in cargo size is going to make a difference for me.
