Re: CTS anti theft or imobilizer system Just for an update this vehicle is now at the dealer. They towed it in Monday morning and it would start when it got there. Today the technician came back after lunch and got the same errors I had and is trying to figure it out. They evidently have a 2008 Cadillac in the shop that has the same problem.

Do the same for the mating surface of the body. Once totally clean, make sure both the seal and the body are 100% dry. Now apply some vinyl dressing to the door seal. Dealer finally found a fix after 3 trips. They tried lubricating, replacing actuator motor and finally replaced the latch assembly. The final one fixed it.
