I loaded some 185 gr jacketed hollow points with 5.2 grains of Unique for my Colt 1911 with OAL 1.220. They functioned well and the brass landed on my right at about 4:00. But it did seem like quite a light load. I loaded a few more with 6.5 of Unique which is still .7 gr under max. This might be a bit heavy. The Lyman book lists 5.0 to 7.2 grains.
