It appears that this wire is common to both the ABS and VTM, and when the wire is cut both systems are disabled, turning on the warning lights. $80 part/$85 labor.

I read in the manual to NOT engage the VTM while on concrete ground as it will damage the VTM. I was telling my wife the above while on parked at our garage.
