May 10, 2020 · New King Quad 400 Owner - Questions. I recently purchased a King Quad 400 FSI. I needed a basic working quad for use on my property and after finding a great deal on a 2020, I bought one. I am a newbie to quads, so bear with me, please. I am still getting used to shifting with no clutch lever to pull, but that will just take some more time.

1. #1. Posted October 3, 2013. Hey I recently picked up a 1991 suzuki ltf 250 quadrunner when I went to look at it it started right up just needed a little carb work. After the carb work was done 2 pulls later it started right up but once I turned it off and tried to start it again it wouldn't start and when I cheched the plug there was no spark.It has been a long time, but I recall something that said the cylinder heads were different, and the 300 was tuned for more low end torque. Having owned both a '97 250 and a '02 300, I can say the 250 seemed much happier at high RPM than my 300. Take the spark plug out and turn the motor over to see if you have spark a thumb over the spark plug hole will give you an indication if you have at least half way decent compression. There is a service manual that covers your quad in the downloads section of the forum . 1.

Oct 7, 2020 · Check the ground wire inside of the aux. plug on the power steering unit. Spotless battery wire contacts, and 12.6V static battery voltage, with digital meter only! Try different tests: Fluke meters ( and others)record. While connected, key on, try tapping areas with rubber hammer. I'd start with handle bars. The King Quad racks are more like the Polaris plastic racks (I think they were the first to introduce these) but on a closer look, I think its just plastic covers over the traditional metal racks. Oct 30, 2012 · To confirm this, run the bike until it dies, remove the plug but leave it in the boot, ground it to something metal and crank the engine over while checking for a solid spark. Oct 5, 2018 · In my 2000 Suzuki King Quad (300). I use Suzuki brand motorcycle oil, (10W40). However, I would use a thinner viscosity oil like 5W30 during the winter months. Suzuki however does not make a SAE 5W30 viscosity, so you’ll have to find an alternative brand with a similar viscosity that is JASO-MA approved for motorcycles.
