Star citizen scan not working.
When scanning from the ship, you will not get a ping "blue box" on a ROC minables until about 2k from the deposit. The large ores will hit at 5k or greater distance. But always swing near the large ore deposits. Because when you are near them (you see the icons) they will not pop up a blue box when you ping the area.

Im having trouble in my mole getting a ping or a scan to happen. I can get into scan mode or into mining mode but can't seem to get a ping or scan to go even with default keybindings. Not sure what I'm missing. Yip known issue. Shoot them, if they absorb the shot then they are scannable. if the shots travel through then they are not loaded in.

Any signals that are over 4000m will NOT be the small gem deposits and can be ignored. Signals that appear closer should be flown closer to and investigated, once you get a gem marker, then switch to scanning mode in the ship and perform a scan on the rocks to see type of gem.
