I used target test prep for 3 days before taking my GRE because I saw they had a 5 day trial for $1. I raised my verbal by 3 points and my Quant by 4 points. I thought it was well done and it was self paced. It's not as cheap as gregmat which is $5 a month, I think it was $149 a month but they also have different plans.

My max Kaplan score was 515 (and I took that one in two sittings), the max for one sitting was a 511. My FLs were 518/517/523, so in my experience, Kaplan is extremely deflated. I'd say the Kaplan FLs were more useful to get used to sitting for the full 6 hours of testing and for obscure content review.

The CAT's just mimic the NCLEX test conditions. For example, I just took the CAT 2 and it shut off at 75 q's with a green overall, just like my CAT 1. The difference is that my raw score was like 61% for CAT 1, and 45% for CAT 2. Now, maybe I got enough questions right in CAT 2 to keep me above minimum passing. But, that just doesn't seem right.
