Jan 12, 2018 · With the 2017 cruze diesel the result seems to be a bent-90-degrees pointing directly downward a metal flap wn from under the right front of the car, exposing a BIG hole in something. I think it may be a belly shield or the DPF itself. Also check-engine light occurred - dunno which code it's throwing. Car is at dealership now.

2014 Cruze LTZ engine (2.0 l. turbo diesel) with 97,409 miles, and I believe a AISIN AF40 transmission. When starting up from a traffic light with normal push on the gas pedal, the trans bangs! and the car takes off normally. It is like in the old days, putting the car in neutral and dropping it into gear at about 2,500 rpm.
