I have been following a lot of auctions on ebay and there seems to be more 96" motors out there, not many 88"s. Jan 24, 2020 · The bike is a 2006 FLHT base model Electra Glide. It came from the factory with a carburetor. I might be mistaken about it being a 96 inch motor from the factory. According to Wiki the 96 inch motor first came in the 2007 HDs. The motor has been replaced a few times.

Make sure to disconnect the O2 sensors leads before removing the header. A tip I found online to help hold the push rod tubes up so I can cut the rods out. Best recommendation engine swap. Not true, that distance is the same for all VRSC models (swingarm pivot components are the same). The problem with a VRSCF engine being used in another model is the front exhaust port studs that are positioned for the left side exit. It also has the oil dip stick positioned in the right side clutch cover but that won't interfere with the swap.

The part that you mention about it happens at a lower RPM, if it is below about 1200-1400 RPM, it may indicate a loose primary chain.
