Shooting two of my favorite.45 ACPs.I have most all the Glock .45's. When I was choosing which would be first in the 30 series (my first two .45's were G21SF and G21g4), the 30S's frame is same as 30SF and 30g4. The slide is slimmer on the 30S. But, the frame thickness is what grabbed my attention at first. Slimmer slide but same thickness in the frame.The 33 is quick where the 30 is more of a push. The 10 round mag makes a difference for me over the 9 round in control of the 30. The 30SF is fairly comfortable for me; the regular 30 not so much, but the Gen4 is ( which is supposedly the same as the SF). I am actually more accurate with the 30, don't know why. The 30 series was simply designed as combat guns and intended for combat loads. With those, the G30 was uber reliable. To make a long story short, the G30 quickly became my favorite Glock. Glock 30SF range report. Picked up a Gen 3 Glock 30SF a few weeks ago and have had it out to the range twice now and the after first mag it became my EDC pistol. I shot it so much better than the 17, 19 or 26 that ive owned in the past. Since I'm happy with the fit in my hand, I was just wondering if there was any reason why I should consider a 30, 4th gen over the 30SF. If carried more than shot, then a 30S is an option with its 4 less ounces, but a little more recoil while giving you a narrower slide to boot.
