As long as Data is the ONLY light that changes, it could be a bad ethernet connection. Otherwise issue should have been resolved by now if it’s a hardware issue. Fail and mgmt should be green when issues is occuring. Yeah only the Data light is the one that changes. It’s on for about 5-10 minutes and then shuts off.

Same issue except I was able to fix the problem and get internet and TV after being down for about a week now. So the ONT box is currently in emergency mode for you because it thinks the power supply unit has failed. Even though you do have a battery the ONT will still shut down if the battery dies or has a low charge.
