The dually axle is a lot heavier, and if you go to single wheels you can still have that heavy axle, and it's not hard to find a single tire rated at 4000lbs. I wish I bought a dually in a way and just put SRW on it, would give you a TON more capacity on the rear. 03+ has SRW 3500's however 02 and down did not.
front wheels are easy, you need the wheel spacer to use the dually style wheels. You can find them on ebay. As for the bed, if you have 8 foot bed, dually 8 footer should bolt right on. I believe your rear springs might be different between the dual and single wheel truck,, usually a dually sits lower in the rear than a single wheel truck.Reuse the dually rotor. Or get a new one for a 80-95 f250/f350. There is no need to change the spindle or stub shaft, beside they are different from the D60 to the TTB. The dually is great for 5th wheeling (and it looks real cool), thats pretty much it. Dually has better payload capability for obvious reasons. I started with the 4 wheel truck and I believe it would be a great disservice to your self to start with a dually. Dually is more difficult to maneuverer when plowing.

For any single wheel pickup, the rear axle weight is ultimately on the max load of the 2 tires--the normal HW on a fiver is about 18-20% of the GVWR, in this case about 3000lbs. ... If you choose the setup with single wheels on a dually axle, you will need some 4"-6" flares or extensions of some sort added to the SRW bed sides, and then you wanna convert the front wheels to singles setup as well. I think it would be easiest to just run the railroad truck setup, with only inboard wheels and regular bed sides. Remove the bolts from the driveline and brake line. Remove the axle. Lift the center of the axle. Fix the heavyweight leaf springs to your truck. Fix the new dually axle to your truck.
