If you look at them that have been in service long they. have many many small cracks in the sole and where the sole meets the transom. This is how Carolina Skiffs wind up with water in the hull.When I launch the skiff, it won’t slide into the water unless I have backed the trailer down far into the water. I then have to get into the water and pick the bow of the skiff up and off the roller. When I return from fishing, I also have to get into the water to pick the bow up and then rest it back on the roller.
