The Lich on the other hand (pun intended) seems to narrowly follow the aspect of Golb that is dissolution and destruction. He believes that he is following Golb's will to destroy all life everywhere. But doing so does indeed mess with the order of things, and in at least one instance leads to the Lich being locked in the Citadel.

Golb is described as chaos or discord, but that's not really a bad thing. Not in the long term anyway. Golb always seemed like it was entropy. The universe's slow dissolution is beautiful, not scary.
