So far I have just compressed the rocker and slip the push rod back into place, but would like to fix the problem before serious damage occurs. Thanks for any help, Cman.OLD Mule 2510 Problems. Check the cooling: If you can disconnect the fan, check it directly with with volt meter: a. With ohm/continuity setting-look for open circuit (the motor windings will show a resistive value). Also, apply 12v across the wires to get the fan to spin. You may also see if there are fuses to the fan. If you're saying your oil pressure relief valve was missing components and you ran the engine that way then you've got problems. Do a compression check per the manual. If it's low that will explain the excessive crankcase pressure (blowby). The missing relief valve components would explain the shot out rings. And bearings. Bumping the throttle causes the idle to decrease and allows grind free shifting.
