I have 2013 Jeep Patriot. I was on the i17 going 60 miles per hour. I moved over to the right lane cuz I started to lose power the rpms stayed at 2 whether my foot was on the gas or not. When I pressed on the gas harder the rpms will go up but not the mph. The transmission warning light was on.
So I've had the Transmission over temp light pop off and on for about 3 years now. It's almost always on summer days, very intermittent. I turn my Jeep off in park, restart and the light is gone.
