The 6 cylinder 2.6 M103 they put in a 190E has similar length to a OM606 I believe. Also only the 2.6 had a removable radiator core support which I believe is necessary in order to take the straight six in and out of the car due to tight fit. It also makes a swap easier. 2.3 didn't have that feature.
